Spring Self-Care 101

This post is brought to you in partnership with Skintimate®. As always, all opinions are my own.

Winter has its benefits: cozy sweaters, curling up with a stack of juicy novels, Netflix and chill without the guilt, not shaving your legs . . . Yes, even I get lazy in that department! But come spring, I’m also the first one to throw open the windows, break out the patio furniture and treat myself to a day of self-care. There’s something about starting fresh each season that makes me feel like anything’s possible!

I’m so into baths lately. The tub is my favorite place to shave my legs after I’ve given them a gentle dry brushing with a softening soak in the water. It feels like less of a chore in there, as does using a really good shave gel like Skintimate® Trust me—if you’ve gotten into the habit of reaching for a bar of soap or your body wash, you’re missing out.

Taking a bath literally rinses away the cares of the day and might just be the least expensive form of therapy! I light a few candles, sprinkle in some bath salts and essential oils, and take a journal and some crystals in there with me in case inspiration strikes.

For one thing, your legs deserve the same amount of care as your face. This time of year, my alligator legs are begging for Skintimate® Ultra Sensitive formula. It’s dye-free, hypoallergenic, and formulated with colloidal oatmeal to protect and condition sensitive skin. I don’t even need lotion after using it! Using Skintimate® Shave Gel also means you never miss a spot because the rich lather lets you see exactly where you have shaved and where you haven’t—no do-overs required. This is key when you’re about to slip on that skirt or romper for the first time.

I know that taking the time out for a fresh start—and swapping that soap for shave gel—feels like a luxury, but it’s how you put your best leg forward!
