Treatment to Try in 2017: Cupping Therapy

Gwyneth Paltrow does it. Michael Phelps definitely does it. I obviously had to do it and am so glad I did. Cupping therapy might be be an ancient form of Chinese medicine but it’s only now having a moment in Western society. If you can get past the angry red circles that don’t hurt, go away within a week and are a highly satisfying sign of released energy blockages, toxins and muscle tension (who doesn’t want visible proof of that?!), you’re going to want to cup on the regular. I had the most incredible experience and wrote about it for Mpls.St.Paul magazine, which you can read here. Also worth noting: Cupping typically costs and takes less time than a massage but the benefits can be greater. My only regret is that I waited this long to try it!
