5 Summer Beauty Discoveries You’ll Want This Fall

Before we bid adieu to August, I’m dedicating this week to a few late-summer bloomers that have been helping me maintain my low-maintenance facade. While I didn’t discover any new frizz-fighters or oil-controlling products worth sharing (this hairspray and this primer are still stellar options), I have real heart for these beauties that will carry you into fall.

Grown Alchemist Deep Cleansing Facial Masque ($39): I’m admittedly partial to the packaging (tubes: so hot right now) and apothecary vibe, but I promise neither clouded my judgement when it came to efficacy. This isn’t your typical clay-based mask. It didn’t strip or dry out my skin, rather gave it a plumped up, post-facial glow. Use it weekly if you’ve been working up a sweat or wearing lots of sunscreen.

Ilia Radiant Beauty Balm SPF 20 ($42): Ilia makes some of my favorite natural lipsticks but sadly left me wanting more in the tinted moisturizer department until the it’s most recent launch. The multi-tasking balm is dewy in the best way possible, provides the perfect coverage for summer, and protects using a mineral block. I sort of hyperventilated the first time I tried it. That brush is actually a genius SPF 20 powder, and the Lip Conditioner in Kokomo is a universal rose that I’ve been wearing nonstop. Both are sadly but unsurprisingly sold out online for the moment so check your local stockist (Spot Spa if you’re in Mpls) !

NARS Dolce Vita Lipstick ($28): One of those cult-favorite shades that always gets quoted by celeb makeup artists but I always forget to try when I’m at the mall, Dolce Vita lives up to the hype. On me it’s a dark nude, which means it’s a very wearable daytime neutral that doesn’t wash me out if I don’t have the faux tan and smokey eye to match. Depending on your skin tone, it could also come across as a peachy-pink or toasty. Either way, I have hunch that this tube looks good on everyone.

What discoveries have you made? There’s still some summer left!
