What’s in My Bag: Ashlee of the Little Foxes

We’re back with another edition of Real Beauty, and this month we’re getting to know Ashlee of The Little Foxes. Besides being the queen of cruelty-free beauty and fashion and one of the coolest ladies we know, she’s a regular contributor to Refinery29, dishing on how to live a chic and compassionate lifestyle. Here are a few of Ashlee’s favorite vegan products that help her stay polished and at peace with her purchases:

1. Skin Owl Eye+ Concentrate: This delightful, jelly-like gel creme contains aloe, hyaluronic acid, cucumber, jojoba oil and other goodness to depuff and generally get you bright eyed and bushy tailed, even if most of my nights during a week consist of events, too many drinks, and not nearly enough sleep.

2. Suki Nourishing Facial Oil: I discovered this amazing oil when I was braving brutal Boston winters about 7 years ago. It’s been part of my rotation ever since.

3. Aromi Lipstick: It can be difficult to find vegan, cruelty-free lipstick, but my friend Hannah who runs Aromi has married ethics with performance in her amazing formulas. I’m currently wearing Bordeaux for that excellent early 90’s Reality Bites vibe (I’m convinced this shade looks amazing on everyone), and always Preppy Red when I want to rock my signature red lip.

4. LUSH Ro’s Argan In Shower Body Conditioner: Ho-boy. This really upped my shower game. No more applying lotion and having to tug on skinny jeans with a vengeance. With this, I get silky and gorgeously scented (seriously, the scent is amazing) in one step without the goop.

5. Pacifica Solar Complete Color Palette: This sleek and cheery palette contains everything I need to create a variety of different eye looks and contouring. The highlighting cream colors are the bomb, and I always feel fresh-faced with a swipe of the bronzer (because I’m really pale, yo) and a little of the tequila-gold shadow.

6. Valentina’s Home Brew Perfume in True Love: Three words: Cardamom, chocolate, and roses. I own every single product in this scent because it’s just so damn good. Like a steamy hot night with Keanu Reeves good.

7. Gressa Minimalist Corrective Serum Foundation: Man, oh man. When I received this, I knew I’d instantly be hooked. Silky, smooth, remarkably blendable and buildable coverage—truly foundation that creates a luminous look and cares for skin with potent botanicals. Without this, I am nothing.

8. One Love Organics Konjac Sponge: Oil cleansing (thanks largely in part to Elizabeth’s amazing tutorial) is so the way to go for this sensitive-skinned gal. I love using this OLO Konjac (because it feels firmer and seems to hold up better than other konjacs I’ve tried) with an oil cleanser to whisk the day away.

9. Sibu Sea Buckthorn Supplements: Chicago winters can wreak havoc on skin and hair, which is why I love hyper-hydrating from the inside out. The holistic nutrition geek in me adores that these bad boys are the finest source of tough-to-find Omega 7, and offer memory, immunity, and other benefits. On a totally superficial level, though, taking these regularly has helped my hair to grow longer (which is no small feat for this fine-haired gal).
