Lash Week: Our Favorite Mascaras

We take mascara verrrrrry seriously here at BB headquarters. I mean, if you’re going to spend all of that time crimping and curling and applying and cleaning up with Q-tips the s*** better be good, right? Of course ‘good’ means something a bit different to everyone, so the entire team—plus one of our all-star readers, Alexis, who has tested her fair share—are spilling their favorites. We’re also dying to know: What’s YOUR go-to tube?

BUXOM LASH ($19) “Before getting extensions this was my mascara of choice. Turns out you don’t have to choose between volume and thickness because Buxom has it all! Plus, it doesn’t smudge or flake, and the tube lasts for, like, ever.” –Elizabeth

FLOWER ZOOM-IN ($8) “Disguised in a chic rose-gold tube, tucked in an aisle of your local Walmart, is the mother of all drugstore mascaras. It glides on like silk and never smudges. But if I’m 100-percent honest, it’s this mascara’s three-in-one brush that has me hooked!” –Meghan

LANCOME HYPNOSE ($27) “My mom raised me on Lancôme mascara. I’ve tried many, many others but I always come right back to my old faithful. Makes lashes ultra-dark, super long & ultra sexy. It’s practically perfect.” –Kara

CHANEL LE VOLUME ($30) “I love a little luxury in my makeup bag and Chanel never disappoints. The formula fattens lashes without clumps, doesn’t flake and holds a curl like crazy. Expensive, yes, but you can’t put a price tag on perfection!” –Hannah

BARE MINERALS FLAWLESS DEFINITION ($18) “It’s all about the wand. The rubber bristles give you unbelievable definition and the ability to lengthen your lashes like no other. I’ve tried, but nothing can replace it.” –Dani

BOBBI BROWN SMOKEY EYE ($28) “This mascara is a dream to put on, smooth like butter. You don’t have to work hard to make it look good. And it doesn’t flake! It’s like I have new lashes–thicker and longer.” –Alexis
