All I Want for Christmas is this Candle

Yesterday we were talking about $15 stocking stuffers. Today we’re talking about $68 candles. Such is life. I don’t make a habit of buying or asking for unnecessary luxury goods (premium denim, real pearls & pink champers not withstanding), that doesn’t mean I don’t want them. Here’s something I totally don’t need but wish that Santa would bring me: Diptyque’s Epinette Scented Candle, from its limited-edition winter collection (works every time). I’m told it smells like money fresh pine needles sprinkled with diamonds snow and a touch of Texas cedar and Indonesian patchouli for warmth. But really, it’s the emerald green and gold glass tumbler I want sitting on my glossy white mantle. After this small investment has burned its 50 hours, I’d move it to my vanity bathroom sink and fill it with makeup brushes, like all the style bloggers do with their Diptyques. –Bets
