Best of Beauty 2010

Okay, so the plan was to share my favorite launches of 2010. But as I reflected on the past year in beauty (that sounds so melodramatic) I couldn’t overlook a few classics that I just “discovered”—and now can’t live without. Got your own must-have product of the year? Confess!

Intelligent Nutrients Anti-Aging Serum – Or practically any plant-oil rich facial serum for that matter. Think of them as food for your skin, like water for a plant.

Bobbi Brown Color Corrector – If you have dark circles you need this. No, really.

Peach Blush – After a life-long love affair with rosy pinks, I finally warmed (hahaha) to this sunny shade. It’s the closest I’ll ever get to looking boho-chic.

Moroccanoil – Applied mid-shaft to ends before or after blow-drying, it’s the most miraculous hair smoother ever. P.S. It won’t weigh your hair down. P.P.S. It works on all hair types.

Kiehl’s Rice & Wheat Volumizing Shampoo (aka The Shampoo that Changed My Life).

Suki Exfoliate Facial Cleanser – OBSESSED.

Dry Shampoo – 2010 was the year of not washing our hair so we could spray and sprinkle it with these magic oil-absorbing, volume-restoring potions.

Guerlain Kiss Kiss Gloss Serum #462 – I never met a berry lip color I liked until this one.

Griege Nail Polish – Few shades get me going in the nail department. Then griege happened and I can’t get enough of painting myself silly with grays and browns. They them make me feel a bazillion times cooler.

Vapour Organics Stratus Instant Skin Perfector – Now that I have the hang of this dewifying face balm I rarely leave the house without swiping across my orbital bone for a celeb-like glow.

Maybelline Lash Stiletto – I had all but banished drugstore mascaras from the beauty closet until this long, lush, clump-free creature came along. It even puts a few $30 tubes to shame.

DKNY Fresh Blossom – I’ve decided not to let the teeny bopper packaging stop me from spritzing this fruity floral to kingdom come.

Clinique All About Eyes Serum De-Puffing Eye Massage – This should probably be the last time I bore you with my adorations for this magic de-puffing wand.
