Giveaway! Meaningful Beauty by Cindy Crawford

It’s hard to believe that my 30 days of Meaningful Beauty are up already! I may not look like Cindy, but I sure feel like superwoman after a month of channeling her mission of living with meaning. It’s amazing how simple life becomes when you take care of yourself and those you love! For the final week I’m hauling myself through the snow to the ‘burbs to have birthday dinner with one of my best friends and the funniest guy I know, my dad, then will be spending the weekend painting the living room and drinking wine with the best mother-in-law on in the world. And for you, dear readers, I’m giving away on one but THREE Meaningful Beauty 30-day anti-aging kits! To qualify, you’ll need to pony up a meaninful activity of your own and leave it below in the comments section.

For anyone who has been hard-pressed to get on a skincare regimen, this is for you. Not only is it straight-forward and easy to follow, but covers all the steps that are tempting to skip—like SPF! The kit also includes a surprise bonus that I added into my routine last week, the Glowing Serum. Dr. Sebagh calls it his “model secret,” previously available only to his exclusive clientele. Well dahling, it most definitely adds that subtle glow we can all use.

So who’s in? Excited to hear what good you’ll be doing! I’ll select a winner at the end of the week—good luck!

Meaningful Beauty Week 3

Friends, it has a been a big week of meaningful activities. I may have (temporarily) fallen off the spinning wagon, but I faced one of my biggest fears. I can’t give you the details yet, but I’ve been working on a big, scary personal project that involves putting myself out there. And I much prefer to hide behind my computer screen in the comfort of my J.Crew vintage pjs. But I did it, and survived. And the next time it will be a whole lot easier.

Didn’t hurt that my skin looked radiant doing it! I am officially LOVING the Meaningful Beauty by Cindy Crawford Antioxidant Day Crème SPF 20, which I look forward to applying every morning. I also notice that the lines on my neck have softened since starting the Skin Brightening Décolleté and Neck Treatment Broad Spectrum SPF 15. Next week I’ll wrap up my 30-day trial and turn it over to you to test-drive—who’s ready for a giveaway?!

p.s. For my second meaningful activity of the week I’ll be baking my grandmother’s famous spritz cookies with my mother.  I come from a long line of wonderful bakers and homemakers, and it’s means everything to me to keep their traditions alive.

Meaningful Beauty Week 2

Hey y’all! Back in the saddle after a lovely, leisurely holiday. It’s officially been a week since I started using Meaningful Beauty’s anti-aging system and I am thorough enjoying my little kit. What is it about using only products from the same line that feels so luxurious? Maybe it’s my otherwise schizophrenic beauty habits (research has its price), but it’s wildly satisfying seeing every bottle neatly lined up in my medicine cabinet, looking all matchy-matchy. As for the products themselves, it’s too soon to give a full report but I can tell you this much: My skin feels comfortably hydrated all day—and that is saying something for the single digit temps I enjoyed over the weekend. Moisture is my main skincare concern this time of year and so far so good with the Antioxidant Day Crème SPF 20. It also delivers that instant dewiness upon application that makes me extremely happy.

I’m also rather pleased with my meaningful activities. Specifically, that I’ve made it to THREE spin classes. That’s three times that I’ve gotten out of bed before 6 a.m. Do you know how dark it is at 6 a.m.? This week I’m switching gears (ha) and doing something for someone else. First up: calling a friend I haven’t spoken to in months. Not for any other reason than I’m a workaholic. Although my friends and family are truly the most important and most favorite things in my life, I can easily become completely obsessed with my to-do list to the point that everything and everyone else fades to black. I know this, so I have to make a conscious effort to take breaks from the work that I love to focus on the people I love. Also to sleep, work out, do the laundry . . .

Second meaningful activity this week: Volunteer my time on the annual campaign drive for Wilderness Inquiry, the Minneapolis-based nonprofit that provides outdoor experiences for people who may otherwise not have the opportunity. The great outdoors have enriched our lives so deeply, supporting this organization is second-nature for Mr. Bets and me. Have you found a cause that you feel truly connected to? Today’s’ the day to get involved! Check out for volunteer ideas and inspiration in your community.

Meaningful Beauty by Cindy Crawford

It’s happened more than once. Late at night, on the couch, watching Cindy Crawford’s Meaningful Beauty infomercial. Before I know it, a half hour has passed, a little drool has escaped, and I NEED THAT SKINCARE. A fortysomething who still looks like a 22-year-old supermodel will do that.

That, and the magical melon serum gets me every time—a rare fruit from the South of France that provides super-antioxidant power. Developed with Dr. Jean-Louis Sebagh, whose name you may recognize for his own fancy schmancy skincare line, the Meaningful Beauty Advanced Anti-Aging Skincare System is designed to hydrate, protect, and smooth fine lines and wrinkles. I finally bit the bullet and am taking the 30-day Meaningful Beauty by Cindy Crawford challenge—starting today!

There are five products in the system, though I’m most I’m most intrigued by the serum, eye cream, and if there’s hope yet for my neck.

  1. Skin Softening Cleanser
  2. Antioxidant Cay Creme SPF 20
  3. Creme de Serum
  4. Advanced Formula Lifting Eye Creme
  5. Skin Brightening Décolleté and Neck Treatment SPF 15

While the odds of me emerging a supermodel are next to none, I can channel my inner Cindy Crawford while on her program. She’s been quoted saying that a healthy, meaningful life is just as important to staying young and beautiful as your skincare regimen. Here, here! So I’m committing to two meaningful activities a week. First up: Brunch with my feisty, fun-loving 86-year-old grandma, who I won’t see this Thanksgiving. I also started spinning again. Why did I stop? Because working out at 6 o’clock in the morning is hard. Like, REALLY hard. But it’s the only way for me to get the job done. And afterwards, I feel like a million dollars. Soon I hope to be looking like it, too. I’ll be sure report back on my progress!

What meaningful thing will you do this week or in the coming month? I would love some company on this feel-good journey!
