Making the Switch to Stella & Chewy’s

I’ve made zero effort to hide my love for this one on the blog. Molly has been the light of my life for nearly a decade. She always knows what I need, from cuddles on a hard day to a tug on the leash when it’s time to go outside and get moving. I know that pets can’t talk, but I’m pretty sure that Molly has the heart and soul of a human. Which is why I have no problem going above and beyond with her diet.

Molly has always eaten well. She loves nibbling on a stalk of kale almost as much as a strip of bacon. She had been on the same high quality diet her entire life when I started to get this niggling feeling that it could be better. First there was the equally pet-obsessed friend who raved about how shiny and happy her rescue dog was doing on a raw-food diet. I kept looking down at my grass fed steaks and Whole 30 diet guiltily thinking: Doesn’t our girl deserve the same?

I’ve shopped locally at Chuck & Don’s since Molly was a pup so when they started carrying Stella & Chewy’s new Raw Blend Kibble, I took it as a sign. Stella & Chewy’s kibble products are potato-free, grain-free and gluten-free. Instead of a bunch of fillers, meat is the #1 ingredient meaning 65-70% of what’s in the bag contains responsibly sourced proteins like cage-free poultry, grass-fed meat and wild-caught fish—plus organic fruits and vegetables. Instead of a bunch of fillers, meat is the #1 ingredient meaning 65-70% of what’s in the bag contains responsibly sourced proteins like cage-free poultry, grass-fed meat and wild-caught fish—plus organic fruits and vegetables.

Molly has always been a good eater (like mother, like daughter!), but I’ve never seen her so excited to eat or so sad to finish a meal. We’ve now tried the Red Meat Recipe with beef, venison and lamb, and the Cage-Free Recipe featuring quail, chicken and duck and Molly loves them equally.

She can smell a bag of Stella & Chewy’s from a mile away and knows exactly where to find it at Chuck & Don’s (they also deliver!). If only going to the grocery store were this fun.

After a couple months on Stella & Chewy’s Raw Blend Kibble Molly’s coat is thicker, her body is lean and her energy belies her age. Even at eight, she still looks and acts like a happy puppy—and I plan to keep it that way, even if it means spoiling her rotten!

P.S. Share your story about how you go above and beyond for your dog by creating an original post on Instagram or Facebook, using the hashtag #akibbleabove for a chance to win a grand prize of a years supply of Stella & Chewy’s Kibble and a custom illustration of you and your dog. Five additional lucky winners will also receive a six-month supply of kibble! Details on the contest can be found here: https://www.stellaandchewys.com/akibbleabove

This post is brought to you by Stella & Chewy’s but all opinions are mine—and Molly’s.
