3 Healthy Nail Polishes for Spring
A quick manicure my favorite way to feel instantly more pulled together (even when I might be a total mess)! I tend to go dark and dramatic with my nail polish in the winter, or stay in my comfort zone with my go-to mani color: red (you’re shocked, I know), but when the weather warms up I do my best to loosen up and lighten up.
While I will always love a gel mani, I keep my nails healthy by rotating in nail polish brands that are at least 5-free—meaning they’re free of commonly used chemicals like dibutyl phthalate (dbp), formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene and camphor. A few favorites to try now:
(l to r) Lauren B. Beauty in Santa Monica Shutters is white without being harsh or chalky, due to it’s sheer, almost milky look with a slight pearl finish. So chic. // Tenoverten in Jane is an almost nude pink. It’s the perfect shade if you gravitate towards classic, clean nails but are afraid of a dated nude or one that pulls too pink. // 100% Pure Juice is a hybrid between hot pink and coral and the perfect alternative for you fellow red nail addicts. It’s a great pop of color for toes, too!
