Dairy Free Yogurt Bowl with Protein
The world can never have too many fast, healthy breakfast options. I’m normally a savory girl, but when I wake up with a sweet tooth (usually hormone-driven), there’s nothing like a fast, healthy breakfast that tastes like dessert. This Dairy Free Yogurt Bowl has become my new go-to for satisfying the craving without the guilt. It is seriously so decadent, sometimes I imagine I am at a fancy spa hotel ordering my overpriced brekkie in bed. It takes mere minutes to make, so you can whip it up while the coffee percolates.
If you’re sensitive to dairy you must try it with coconut yogurt. You can amp up the protein level of any dairy-free alternative by simply by stirring in some chocolate protein powder. Two favorites around here for their low sugar content: Vital Proteins Cocoa Coconut Whey Protein and Burt’s Bees Protein Shake in Chocolate if you prefer soy and dairy free. I used strawberries in this recipe, but get creative with the toppings and try chia seed, shave coconut, sliced banana and/or nuts.
–Yogurt of your choice like So Delicious Unsweetened Coconut Yogurt
–1 scoop of Chocolate Protein Powder
–Granola of your choice – I love Purely Elizabeth granola (it’s sweetened with coconut sugar, giving it a rich flavor and serious crunch)
Simply scoop out as much yogurt as you like into your breakfast bowl and stir in your protein powder until well combined. Top with granola and sliced strawberries! Eat up and run out the door.
