Dear friends,
I’ve told you I’ve been working on a new project. I’ve even made a few of you hold my hand virtually as I face-planted into new territory. And today I’m equal parts scared and excited to introduce you to HEALERS. It’s a podcast! And a heart project, as my friend Liz refers to something our soul calls us to do even when our ego is saying “Wait, what? That’s crazy! There are enough podcasts in the world!” And you do it anyway.

I can remember when it seemed like everybody was starting a blog and I didn’t want to miss out. I had to see for myself what it meant to buy a URL (a who?), build a website, and share opinions and stories with total strangers knowing that they may not ever read them. If you’re reading this, you know how that story ended.

Then came podcasts. Suddenly, everyone had a podcast. What exactly is a podcast and do I want one? Do I need one? Ugh, I’m tired.

When Podcast One approached me this summer about creating a show, I had my answer. There was just one thing: I didn’t want to do a podcast about beauty, at least not in the traditional sense. I didn’t want to talk about lipstick and DIY face masks and hair color trends, as much as I love those things and they have loved me back. The only thing I could comprehend talking about week after week was the thing that I talk about day after day, that has become not just my favorite topic but a way of life: Healing.

I’ve spent the last decade, professionally as a writer and personally as a hot mess, exploring every healing modality that would have me. I’ve tried Ayurveda and acupuncture, crystal therapy to equine therapy—and that was just last week. KIDDING! Sort of . . . But what started as curiosity completely changed my life for the better. HEALERS is my love song to the guides and gurus who have dedicated their lives to transforming ours. Who are using their gifts to help us heal ourselves.

Season 1 of HEALERS launches February 6. In the meantime, listen to the preview episode here and be sure to subscribe to the show on iTunes or using the Podcast app on your smartphone so you don’t miss an episode! Your love + support make this all possible and I’m beyond grateful.

Namaste,
Elizabeth
