Dani’s Pick: BareMinerals Gen Nude Lipstick Collection
Just because you’re no longer sporting a spray tan doesn’t mean that nudes are of limits. In fact, they offer a subtle relief from the big reds and berries of the season. In the past, the scope of nude hues has been very limited—ie not flattering for all—so its nice to see brands expanding their collections to provide nude products for a broader spectrum of skin tones! Tru-Colour Bandages, for example, offer bandaids in darker and lighter shades than your traditional bandages. Christian Louboutin recently launched a collection of nude shoes in 7 shades.
And BareMinerals is right there, too, with its new Gen Nude, a 60-shade collection of nude lip products that consists of 15 shades of their Gen Nude Butterceam Lipgloss and 20 shades of their Gen Nude Radiant Lipstick, 20 shades of their Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lipcolor and 5 shades of their Gen Nude Under Over Lip Liner.
Each product in the collection has the quality and performance that we’ve come to expect from BareMinerals (we’re longtime fans), and we’re thrilled to see them reaching women who might have previously felt unable to wear a nude lip, due to lack of options. Their collection is certainly one of the most extensive on the market, and we hope it inspires other brands and industries to follow suit with their offerings. My favorite shades from the collection were Crave and Karma from the Radiant Lipstick Collection and the Matte Liquid Lipcolor in Swag (image above, from left to right, is Crave, Swag and Karma). Swag, along with some of the darker options, are perfect for achieving the popular matte-mauve lip made popular by the likes of Kylie Jenner.
If you’re in the market for a great nude lippie, or if you feel like you’ve never found the perfect shade for you, be sure to pop over and check out the entire Gen Nude Collection to see all 60 available shades.
