J.Crew x New Balance Activewear is Here + Shopbop Sale!

As if J.Crew’s shoe collab with New Balance weren’t enough to change my view on tennis shoes, now the two have teamed up on an activewear line for women. The collection of 20 styles launched this week online and in select stores and, in true J.Crew fashion, it’s both sporty and timeless, if not a bit nautical.  I still can’t believe how much the athleisure trend has changed the way I dress. Spandex seems completely appropriate for running errands and even a coffee date, especially when it’s pulled together with a fitted zip-up and #shinyponies. I don’t even have to be working out to justify this shift from pencil skirts to high-performance gear; it just makes more sense when you’re on the go all day. And when it looks like an outfit, I feel surprisingly pulled together, don’t you? Here’s a sampling of new line, modeled by female athletes (YES), including Muay Thai boxer and model Gracie Carvalho, The Class founder Taryn Toomey, Allure fashion director and runner Rachael Wang, and SoulCycle instructor Taye Johnson. Shop the entire J.Crew x New Balance activewear collection at jcrew.com.
