Review: Beautycounter Shampoo + Conditioner

Beauty Counter Review: why I'm totally loving their shampoo + conditioner!

Hi friends! Dani here with a Shampoo and Conditioner discovery so good, it’s hard to believe it’s also really good for you. I was first introduced to Beautycounter while looking for nontoxic sunscreens before a recent trip to kayak the Bahamas. I was hoping to find one that came in stick form—we traveled with carry-ons and had very limited space in our kayaks. I remembered Bets’ post about Beautycounter sunscreens and ordered the Protect Stick. It was a game changer and made me eager to try more of the brand’s products.

Beauty Counter Review: why I'm totally loving their shampoo + conditioner!

Enter Beautycounter’s Clean + Rinse shampoo and conditioner. As someone who is sensitive to sulfates and has to deal with an itchy, irritated scalp if she uses conventional, toxin-filled products, I was so relieved to discover these products! EWG gives the shampoo a rating of 2 and the conditioner a rating of 3. Amazing rating, products that work, and a citrus mimosa scent that is such a great start to your day—I’m into it. It makes my hair soft, but doesn’t weigh it down one bit. And the best part? No scalp irritation or ingredient concerns. (note: Beautycounter is currently redoing their packaging. So while the conditioner has a new look, rest assured that the formula is the same.) And keep your eyes peeled, friends, because Beautycounter is partnering with Target this fall for a limited-edition collection! I’ll be the first to try them.
