The Love List // March

The Love List March 2016 | Beauty Bets

March came in like a lion—all work and (good!) change with very little play—but is going out like the sweetest baby lamb thanks to a romantic getaway next week to sunny Savannah. For a Southerner at heart, it’s hard to believe I’ve never been! In addition to doing absolutely nothing, I’m dying to lounge on Tybee Beach, stuff my face with shrimp + grits, stroll through architectural neighborhood gems, take in some bluegrass, and read an easy book poolside at The Brice Hotel. Since it’s a good 20 degrees warmer there, I’ve been getting into spring mode with my product routine (I also tried on my white jeans. Oi). Here are a few new treats I’ll be packing:

1. James Read BB Tan Pen ($30) – It’s a BB Cream! It’s a gradual self-tanner! It’s pretty much the best thing ever and so travel-friendly. // 2. Wander Beauty On-the-Glow Blush + Illuminator ($42) – another ingenious multitasker with subtle shades that look good on everyone and makes transitioning to a full-blown summer bronze a breeze. // 3. Indie Lee Lavender Chamomile Oil ($36) – Light enough for hair, face and body and so relaxing you’ll want to keep it on your nightstand.  // 4. RMS Lip2Cheek in Smile ($36): Team BB keeps these little organic color pots around all year, but I especially love this super subtle peachy pink hue in the spring. // 5. Frank and Whitman Sugar Scrub ($20): I tend to turn hotel bathrooms into a spa so am taking a cue from Maya who’s hooked on this hippy grapefruit and vanilla brown sugar scrub. // 6. Folle de Joie eau de parfum ($98) – As an anti-floral girl, I blanch at switching to a spring fragrance. It’s still got to a little bit spicy and citrusy, but light enough for breezy temps. This is it, and I’ve already gotten loads of compliments when I wear it. // 7. Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector ($25) – Remember Clarins?! Yeah, I had kind of forgotten too until a facial at Paris Charles de Gaulle reminded me how effortlessly the French do color. The creamy yet sheer nature of these glosses is tres chic and surprisingly affordable. // 8. Pixi Glotion Day Dew ($22) – Speaking of steals, this illuminating primer lotion is the perfect way to transition your skincare to spring. Just layer over your favorite facial oil or moisturizer for an instant, dewy boost. // 9. Pestle & Mortar Hydrate Moisturizer ($74) – I’m already hooked on the brand’s hydrating serum so didn’t hesitate to swap out my heavy winter creams for P+M’s new moisturizer. It’s ultra-hydrating all day yet feels so light. Done and done.
