Products We’re Loving: Elizabeth

In My Bag with Elizabeth Dehn | Beauty Bets

Here we go, the final installment of our team’s In My Bag series. Hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as we have! I can’t say I saved the best for last because I want everything on everyone else’s list, but for me to narrow it down to just three products—and one of them is DENTAL FLOSS—you know they’ve got to be good.

(l to r) Cocofloss ($8) – My mother is a dental hygienist, so she knows when I haven’t been flossing (too much plaque!). I try to daily, I really do, but until this floss came around I didn’t look forward to it. Started by two sisters, one of whom is a dentist, Cocofloss is cute to look at, is coated in a bit of coconut oil so it slides nicely between your teeth, and has scrubby texture that gets right in there and feels like a mini massage for your gums. And there are flavors! If you’re totally into flossing like I am now, you can sign up for the Floss Plan so you’re never without your floss. Have I said enough on this topic? // I only recently got into baths and now I can’t live without them, especially when I’m stressed or coming down with a cold. While Epsom Salt is great for detoxing, when it’s a true bath house experience I crave there’s nothing better than Woodlot’s Recharge Mineral Bath Soak ($26). With a pretty pink combination of dead sea salts + himalayan pink salts, rosemary + peppermint essential oils, the effect is both energizing and restorative. //  No matter how many rich, plant-oil based products I slather on (and I do know a thing about skincare . . .), I’ve never made it through a winter without an esthetician commenting that my face is dehydrated. It’s infuriating. A couple months ago I decided to take action and added a layer of indie newcomer Pestle & Mortar Pure Hyaluronic Serum ($69) under my OLO Vitamin C Serum each morning. I didn’t expect much, but the results were immediate and noticeable: My skin stayed plump and healthier looking all day long, not just until 10 am. The key is the Hyaluronic Acid (HA), found naturally in skin tissue but decreasing as we age. Pure HA provides continuous moisture to the skin by binding up to 1000 times its weight in water. Even if you’re normal or oily, you can still benefit from this lightweight hydrator. I’m planning to wear it on long flights and at night if I need an added boost.
