Fancy Things For Staying in on New Year’s Eve
No one likes to admit it so allow me: New Year’s Eve is totally overrated. I’ve done the black tie bashes, champagne and seafood blowouts, and more all-nighters than I care to count. And rarely do they deliver like a cozy (but delicious) dinner party with friends or Chinese takeout and Netflix marathon on the couch. That’s not to say that I pass up the excuse to get festive. In fact, I sort of love lolling on the couch in my sequins and jeans, don’t you? I also love a good gold clutch (similar here and here) and statement jewelry. The monochromatic effect of this pair is so rich yet subtle.
This year I’ll be packing a bit of extra heat with my latest beautification find. Remember that crazy good CVS teeth-whitening tray? Well it comes in a pen version for lightening and brightening on the go. Just brush before you head out the door, then apply this gentle yet powerful gel while you’re en route in all of your fabulousness. Two daily uses of this little gem nets you professional whitening results without having to worry about a cumbersome strip or making a trip to the dentist office. I plan to keep a pen in the car (next to my back-up blush and dental floss) for my morning commute!
Pick up a CVS Whitening Pen + Toothbrush set at CVS/pharmacy stores and CVS.com. While you’re at it, sign up for the CVS Beauty Club and receive a 10% off shopping pass!
Ooooh that whitening pen sounds interesting.
I totally agree about NYE. Overrated, not that I don’t enjoy making resolutions and hoping for a better year than the previous but I would much rather stay home with a face mask and a glass of wine. Lol In a city like Philadelphia NYE gets pretty wild.
