Ooh La La: Le Metier de Beaute’s Vault VIP Program

I rarely write about beauty sampling programs because honestly, there are so many out there now—most of them trying to capitalize on what Birchbox still does best—and they are beyond underwhelming. But here I am, recommending one that costs $348/year. For a one-time fee that works out to $29 dollars a month, Le Métier de Beauté will send you a specially curated FULL-SIZED product (thank you, jesus) or assortment of products shipped to your door. LMdB is one of those elusive luxury brands that celebrity makeup artists are always quipping about in magazines and only places like Neiman and Bergdorf’s carry, but which most of us will never purchase and secretly want an entire makeup bag full of.

The Beauty Vault VIP program, then, is kind of like an exclusive club that, for the price of a new outfit, we get to join. Believe it or not, I so rarely treat myself to a new lipgloss or eye shadow just because that this concept actually spoke to me despite the price tag. Also: the month might include a sneak peak or lab preview, like the Instant Line Correcting Serum that doesn’t hit stores until fall. I have no doubt it will retail for far more than $29. It’s already so much better than a bunch of bitty samples or nail polish shades that you’ll be regifting to the nanny. If you’re feeling flush or have a birthday coming up like someone I know (who is not loving this aging business…), treat yourself at LeMétierdeBeauté.com. In the meantime, I’ll keep you posted on what pretty things arrive on my doorstep!
