Everything is Perfect.

Ahhhh! So late with this post. Was totally frolicking in the sunshine yesterday and just couldn’t bring myself to work. I wish that didn’t make me feel so guilty but it does! However. Getting in some R & R is precisely when the inspiration flows in. So here goes…

I am not enjoying the journey right now. I know I’m supposed to, that it’s not just about the destination, but sometimes I have a really hard time wrapping my brain around that concept when the journey is painful and the destination uncertain. Then I received an e-newsletter from writer and astrologist Lee Sears and something finally clicked. I’ll paraphrase: There is a natural order in life that is reflected in how things ARE. If we don’t like what we see, that doesn’t mean it’s wrong. The dislike comes when “what is” is different from our idea of the way things “should be.” When the two don’t match, we feel pain. We blame the people who are just being who they are; we blame ourselves for not being who we aren’t. It’s like a small child looking at a mountain and blaming it for not being a lollipop instead. When you feel yourself getting frustrated or sad about the present, close your eyes, take a deep breath and say to yourself: “Everything is perfect right now, just as it is.”

Does this resonate with you, too? Hope so!
