Happy Year of the Sheep
Well, we made it through mercury in retrograde, through Dom Season, and now the Chinese New Year is finally here! The crazy horse of 2014 has galloped away, replaced with the sheep/goat/ram (don’t ask me why these totally distinct animals are so interchangeable). Unlike last year’s intense, energetic vibe, ewe can now expect calmer, more contemplative days ahead. The sheep is compassionate, creative, sweet, and thoughtful. This year, anyone who invents and innovates from a positive place may receive from the universe the resources they need for doing good in the world. If you REALLY get into the superstitions surrounding the Chinese New Year like the Chinese themselves, here and here are a few bleaker positions. Like the women who rushed to have babies before the New Year based on a centuries-old belief that only one in ten children born under the Sheep sign find happiness. Then again, Steve Jobs and Bill Gates were both born in sheep years.
