Indie Holiday: RL Linden Ironwood Perfume Oil
Scents and smells have such a special way of conjuring up memories, of taking us back to a place or time. Once in a great while, when the temperature and dew factor align, I will get a whiff of damp leaves and grass and be immediately transported to my morning runs in Hyde Park when I lived in London. When a scent is so true, so alive, it can bring tears of nostalgia to your eyes. I have a feeling that the ladies of RL Linden had a similar sentiment when they created a collection of fragrance oils inspired by their beloved Denver town. These were definitely created with heart, using only pure, plant-based, organic, raw and wildcrafted essential oils. Although Ironwood doesn’t conjure up a specific memory for me, it does make me want to build a fire, slip into a navajo sweater, and curl up with a juicy novel and spot of whisky. It’s intoxicating, warm and mysterious in the most delicious way . . . even Vogue Paris approves of Ironwood so there’s definitely something je ne sais quoi about it. In other words, you’ll take two.
More lovely gift ideas from our Indie Holiday series right this way . . .
Denver girl here: So glad you lifted up this Mile High company. The new perfume oils are remarkable–I’m obsessed with Ritual Chocolate. These creative entrepreneuresses are a force to be reckoned with in the green beauty industry.
This is sooo good! I like it.
