Tarte Fall 2014: Rainforest After Dark Collection

In addition to pumpkin spice everything and cozy new threads, I’ve been scouring new fall makeup collections for anything swoon-worthy.  One of my favorite launches has been the Tarte Rainforest After Dark collection. While I’m not totally drinking the kool-aid for every trend out there (slicked back hair? No for this blonde!), I am a big fan of trading my pastel hues for more jewel-toned shades. Burgundy, purples and deep greens have taken over my Sephora shopping cart. And, as a fiend for any vegan-friendly and cruelty free beauty products, Tarte has always been one of my go-to makeup brands. Their fall collection is full of perfectly jewel toned hues, and multi-tasking products that vamp up your best features. I took a few products for a test drive and can honestly say that I loved them all! Here are a few of the BB approved highlights:

Color clay eye & cheek palette ($38): This palette has everything you need in life – ever. Okay, maybe I’m being a tinge dramatic, but when I opened it up for the first time, that’s how I felt! The pretty compact comes with dreamy highlighter, bronzer, perfect pink blush and 6 gorgeous eye-shadow shades (including the prettiest purples you’ve ever seen). Hello new favorite palette!

CC eye primer stick ($21): As a newbie to the eye primer game, I’m now a BIG fan. I’m a believer in the 8-minute morning routine, so adding a new step to the mix isn’t something I take lightly. After having my eyeliner wimp out by noon for the last few months, this little trick has made my eyeliner (and eye shadow) last all daylong.

Colored clay under-eye corrector ($24): As the #1 queen of sleepy eyes, I’ve tried every lotion and potion known to humanity to cover up my dark circles. This is by far the best concealer I’ve ever used and I know I’ll be buying it over and over again!

So now, please share with the class: What’s your favorite makeup launch this fall? We’re always looking for the new perfect burgundy lipstick & moody shades!
