A MyHabit Sale From Me to You

Over the years I’ve learned a thing or two about feeling pulled together no matter what the day or night brings (hint: It’s all about being prepared!). Not unlike all of you superwomen, my life as an editor, beauty blogger and skincare creator gets a bit nuts. So when MyHabit invited me to NYC to help curate one of their killer sales  and share my day-in-the life style and beauty tips, I thought about what I’d tell you if we were discussing our crazy lives over coffee.

First rule to shop by: Jewelry is your best friend. Statement necklaces like this Kenneth Jay Lane stunner are my dirty little secret for making an otherwise simple (but timeless!) wardrobe look fresh and exciting. The best part: one size fits all. But in my opinion, the bigger the better.

I love a LBD as much as the next girl, but I’m even more at home in boyfriend jeans. If you’re lucky enough to work in a more creative or casual environment, I highly recommend pairing them with a classic jacket (this tweed and leather number from Rachel Roy: so hot right now) and ballet flats for daytime polish, then swapping in a pair of epic heels for happy hour or an industry event.

Lastly, it will come as no surprise that I stock my desk and work tote with beauty essentials. What did you think those gorgeous, roomy bags were for?! I lug around an embarrassing amount of product and have never regretted it. My hair is wont to fall flat as the day progresses, especially when I’m sporting waves, so lately I’ve been reviving them with a bit of Vidal Sassoon Pro Series Mega Firm Hold Gel gently scrunched in for extra lift.

There are ten more tips where those came from, but I’d rather hear from all of you! What do you do to feel your best on busy days? If you need more inspiration, check out my day-in-the-life video and interview on MyHabit’s the Fix blog. The work style sale I curated ends soon— race you to this dress!
