The $5 Dry Shampoo that Really Works

DoveDryShampoo2Like email and the internet, I can hardly remember a time when dry shampoo didn’t exist. I can imagine what my hair looked like on day two without it. Ew. But more often than not, I use dry shampoo to give my clean hair a fighting chance at some volume. I spritz it in at the roots after blow drying and not only does my blowout last longer (which for me means all day), but my hair feels fuller and thicker. This trick is only possible with a really good volumizing dry shampoo. Think of them as a root boost + dry shampoo hybrid. Unlike hair powder, these powerhouses are usually in a spray can. I’ve been hard-pressed to find one as potent as Oscar Blandi’s, least of all at the drugstore, but Dove’s Refresh+Care Dry Shampoo is the real deal y’all—and under five dollars to boot! Have you tried it yet?
