Our Favorite Nail Polishes of the Summer
No matter how many nail polishes are collecting dust in your medicine cabinet, chances are you keep returning to the same handful of shades. We are no different here at Beauty Bets! I asked the team to share the polishes they’ve been returning to again and again all summer, either when they do their own nails or hit the salon. –Bets
1. Though I’m typically a red pedi sort of girl, Butter London Primrose Hill Picnic ($15) made me a pink believer. It’s classy, not too bright or tacky. // 2. Several of us discovered with CND Shellac in Lobster Roll this summer. Hannah describes it as “poppy”—across between red and pink. I just love the name! // 3. When I do want a true retr0-red that looks fab on fingers and toes, my go-to is Essie Too Too Hot ($8) // 4. Meanwhile, Dani reaches for Sally Hansen Kook a Mango ($6) a “melon” twist on red. // 5. Not quite pink, but not exactly purple, Revlon Plum Seduction #917 ($5) strikes the perfect balance of elegant and electric. When paired with a good base and top coat, Meghan pinky swears that it lasts nearly as long as a spendy gel mani. // 6. Dani’s long-time favorite is Sally Hanson Pink Slip ($6) , a sophisticated white with just a touch of pink. // 7. Maya’s three picks include Essie Marshmallow ($8) , because you can never have too many white polishes! This shade looks great with a light coat for a subtle shine, or a few to make your nails pop (in fact, I’m wearing it right now!). // 8. She adores Jenna Hipp X RGB Nail Sheers ($18) for summer weddings and fancy events. “Since I’m translucent in the summer time (#introvertproblems), the nude shades are a perfect complement.” // 9. Cobalt blue has been one of the hottest shades of the season, and Julep Monaco ($14) nails the trend. Perfect for a day at the beach or when the weather chooses not to cooperate!
