Size Matters: How to Pick Your Curling Iron

curlingiron

I don’t know about you but the question of curling iron size comes up often among my friends and co-workers. If only that were more scandalous than it sounds . . . . But seriously though, the size of your iron or rod is tricky business. It can mean the difference between a little bounciness and a lot of poodle princess. Size also depends on your hair length and type. My friend Suzette’s thick, glamazon hair can hold curl for days, whereas my fine, straight locks require lots of heat and a smaller barrel to even register on the curl-o-meter. For natural but defined waves I stick with a 1.5 inch and have the best luck with Sultra’s Bombshell curl rod (currently on sale!)—it’s so easy and fast to use once you get the hang of the glove thing. What size curling iron do you use? Any favorite tools?
