A Lipgloss Gift Set I Can Get Behind
Most makeup “value” sets are like a big bag of candy. At first, you can’t stop eating all of those Jelly Bellies. Then, about a third of the way in, they all start tasting the same and you’re so disgusted with yourself for spending eleven dollars on candy that you throw the rest of the bag away. And that is why I rarely shop at Costco or buy limited-edition palettes. There’s also never enough of the shade you like and inevitably something too purple or too orange that goes in the giveaway pile. This is NOT the case with Bite Beauty’s Deconstructed Rose Lipgloss Library. I had been dying to try Bite, a natural lipcare line, and for once got suckered in by the sheer breadth of rose-scented, ultra-flattering looking glosses, ranging from soft pinks to deep reds with—12 in all for $49 (a true $165 value). Friends, there isn’t a bad shade in the bunch. In fact, I feel rather greedy about the fact that I want to keep them all. The pigment, BTW, is rich without being too opaque, and just sticky enough to stay put unlike most natural glosses. If it’s time to mix up your lip routine for the season, this is the route to go.
P.S. I’m wearing lucky number Twelve, berry red, in the pic above!
