Channeling My Inner Festival Hippie Chic

PG festival bb

What? You don’t think of me as boho?! Well, I’m not normally. But I do love to let my hair down, especially if it involves fresh air, country music, and a drink koozie. I also grew up camping so have a few tricks up my sleeve when it comes to roughing it.

festival beauty products

I’d be absolutely lost traveling without my Ray Ban aviators and facial wipes. Olay Fresh Effects {Everything Off!} Deluxe Make Up Removal Wet Cloths ($5). These take it ALL off, including waterproof makeup and those layers of sunscreen and bronzer that are my security blanket all summer.

olay bb cream

Speaking of sun protection, what did we do before BB creams? I cannot imagine going back to the days of multiple products now that there’s one that does it all. Olay Fresh Effects {BB Cream!} Skin Perfecting Tinted Moisturizer with Sunscreen ($11) combines a skin perfecting tint with SPF 15 for a sheer yet flawless finish that’s so much more appropriate than heavy foundation when you’re getting down in the dirt.

Forget curling irons and hot rollers. You’ll be lucky to get a shower.  My go-to trick is to scrunch mousse into damp hair before bed, then sleep with it in a bun. You’ll wake up with soft, easy waves that won’t look like you tried too hard (because you’re boho). Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Tousling Mousse ($4) does just what the name implies: creates touchable, frizz-free waves without crunch. I even add a little to my hair dry for extra volume!

So there you have it. Boho Bets. Maybe next year I’ll go crazy and braid my hair. Now, what other multi-tasking summer beauty tricks do I need to know about?
