The Light Brown Eyeliner Trick
Happy Monday all! Hope your weekends were splendid. We had our first fire in the fireplace of the season and while it was cozy to curl up with a good book and Molly Thomas by my side, I’m not sure how I feel about the chill in the air! Anyway, have been meaning to tell you for ages about an eyeliner trick that makeup artist and educator Julie Swenson shared with me and I’ve officially adopted (and recently shared on Clementine Daily). If, like me, you normally wear dark brown or black liner on your upper lash line but feel like a raccoon—or look super tired—when you apply it to the bottom, try a lighter brown liner on the lower lash line instead! It still gives the definition of a darker shader but really opens up your eyes without casting a shadow. Don’t worry about the liners not matching—they’ll complement each other if you keep it in the same color family. I love Sigma Beauty Extended Wear Eye Liner in Balance ($9), a soft bronze that really stays put. What else have I been missing out on in the eyeliner department?
