Your Common Skin Problems, Solved!

Holy cannoli, people! The comments that flooded in on Friday had my heart breaking and my head spinning. I want so much to respond to every last question and concern, so I’ve consolidated all 82 of them into some common themes. Feel free to chime in if you’ve got a better solution to any of these skin care struggles:

I would love a cleanser that doesn’t make me break out, isn’t made of questionable ingredients, removes my waterproof mascara, and doesn’t cost thirty-eight bucks.
BEST BET: Suki Sensitive Cleansing Bar ($11)

Two struggles: pores and redness. I cannot find a product that takes care of both.
BEST BET: Burt’s Bees Acne Solutions Purifying Gel Cleanser ($10), which my friend with rosacea swears by!

How do I get rid of the dry flaky skin on my cheeks and forehead and reduce the oiliness in my t-zone?
BEST BET: Invest in a Clarisonic, which will buff away flakes while deep-cleansing oily areas. Also, use a different moisturizer on cheeks and t-zone.

I’d love to find a way to diminish these dark spots. I’m only 33! Help BB!
BEST BET: IS Clinical White Lightening Serum ($115) will help fade mild to moderate discoloration. For stubborn—or more instant gratification—see your derm for an Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) laser treatment.

I need an acne-specific product that doesn’t dry my skin up like the Sahara desert.
BEST BET: Any one of these six acne solutions from one of our favorite fellow beauty bloggers!

My skin starts out looking fresh and nice but by noon is pretty greasy. Help!
BEST BET: A layer of Shu Uemura Under Base Mousse SPF 30 ($50) under your makeup and you’ll be shine-free all day

How can I keep my skin properly moisturized in the hot, dry summer without it getting oily?
BEST BET: A lightweight, oil-free hydrator like Arcona Magic White Ice ($30) is perfect for most skin types

My struggle is to find a moisturizer that is fast absorbing with at least SPF 30 that doesn’t feel greasy!
BEST BET: Keys SolarRX SPF 30 ($27) feels like a moisturizer but functions like a major sun block. It’s also 100-percent chemical free and incredibly popular among eco-beauty bloggers.

Goal: A sunscreen that is incredibly light, doesn’t make me break out and actual blocks the sun!
BEST BET: Coola Mineral Moisturizer SPF 20 ($34) is all-natural and whisper light. You can wear it alone or on top of your favorite moisturizer.
