My Mascara Pick for 2010

Before I skip off to Jett Makeup Eyelash Bar today for my MINK EYELASH EXTENSIONS session with Amy Kelly (it was only a matter of time before the mother ship came a-calling), I had to leave you with with my mascara pick for 2010. I know I said it was Maybelline Lash Stiletto. And that’s still my pick for this year’s best drugstore mascara. But my heart—and my lashes—belong to Buxom Lash. It’s from the makers of Bare Minerals, and it’s everything you could ever want in a mascara: lengthening, thickening, non-clumping, and long-lasting. But those are a given. The big brush, is easy to use, the tube is huge and lasts forever without ever drying out (nothing short of a miracle), and it only costs $18—far below the average department store brand. It shouldn’t have come as such a surprise then that the Buxom plumping glosses and sticks (Marrakech is my everything) are equally spectacular.

It’s going to be awhile before I coat my lashes—or do anything to them for that matter, except admire their fawn-like lushness—so I’m counting on all of you to keep us apprised of any must-have mascaras in 2011!
