The Easiest Eye Brightening Trick in the Book
On a recent trip to the Bobbi Brown counter with my friend K-dog (that’s Kirsten to the rest of you), I realized I’ve been withholding the best eye brightening trick in the book! Today, when I’m hungover from sugar and lack of sleep, it’s going to save me from looking like a freak show. But for Kirsten, it was the first step that Bobbi recommended for her wedding makeup, and it’s so easy! The secret weapon: Bobbi Brown Color Corrector.
I don’t know HOW I ever survived without the stuff. It’s designed specifically to erase discoloration such as redness or dark circles—for which I rely on Light Bisque. After you’ve applied eye cream (Origins Ginzing is the BOMB), simply dot the Color Corrector on dark undereye areas only, using a concealer brush. Blend with fingers. A little goes a long way. Next, top with your favorite concealer to brighten. I use Bobbi’s Creamy Concealer in Warm Ivory because the shades are amazing and the formula is so creamy it doesn’t dry up or get cakey halfway through the day. The two-layer approach is SO much more effective than concealer alone, and you’ll find you need far less foundation when you look so fresh and awake! Observe: Kirsten before corrector and concealer:
Amazing right? And she’s wearing so little makeup. Not to mention that she’s gorgeous!
